Nine films on Foreign Oscar longlist



Baseball club films hold gone forward to the next daily round of balloting in the C. H. Best Foreign Speech Plastic film family for the Oscars.
Sixty-three films, including the Irish-language film 'Kings', had originally qualified in this class.
The baseball club films in contention ar: 'The Counterfeiters' (Austria), 'The Year My Parents Went on Vacation' (Brasil), 'Days of Darkness' (Canada), 'Beaufort' (Yisrael), 'The Stranger Woman' (Italian Republic), 'Mongol' (Kazakh), 'Katyn' (Republic of Poland), '12' (Russian Federation) and 'The Trap' (Srbija).
The Oscar nominations will be announced on Tuesday 22 Jan with the awards ceremony pickings place on Sun 24 Feb.
